A local news channel used my photos and videos for one of their stories without consent or credit. Is this legal?


They were shown on air and my name was not attached. Nobody at the news station contacted me to ask if they could use my stuff.

    Yup, that's legal.  Did you copyright any of those photos or videos?  Then you don't own them, which means anyone can use them for anything.

    Yes it's legal to film in public. It's become annoying since there are many more cameras than in 1984 when the law on this was made in most places, however for now they can still film you in public without permission and post it or show it on TV. I know what you mean and old laws are too slow to be updated.
