Can the US police be sue and compensate for business loss due to riot? ?

Police officer had bad record.

US police did not correct the officer despite having time to do so.

    Nope.  And insurance does not cover it.  It is all on the business owner.  So, he is not only broke, but in debt.  The store will never reopen.  The area will be a slum.  Democrat.

    NO.   So you are excusing criminal activity???  If everyone who got upset and angry, went out and burned and looted, this whole country would look like a war torn country. THAT  SOLVES NOTHING.  Intelligent people understand that riots only make things worse.  Hold the people accountable who are committing these crimes and stop taking the focus from Floyd’s horrific death. Give them time to investigate it, and keep the pressure on peacefully if you must.  Running out of a  burning building with TVs, shoes, etc doesn’t translate to “we want justice”.
