    Surprise yourself. Open a tube of Cresent Rolls and roll them out into a sheet of dough instead of separating the triangles. Cut wrappers from the dough that will circle a string cheese stick and are long enough to crimp the ends together. Bake per package directions and enjoy.

    Try a different kind of oil.

    Most mozzarella sticks are breaded and don't include the use of dough though so you could just batter and fry them.

    You Can try melted butter, but I don't think it will work the same.
