why is there so much gold in australia?

    Just  a question of different minerals forming in different places at the formation of the world. I will point out that Australia is a very old continent in geological terms, so we do have lots of minerals here. We supply most of China's iron ore for example.

    How weird! I only just found out about that yesterday watching an Australian TV show. All my life I've never heard that and now I've heard it twice in two days.
