Why are there no pass interference calls for fake punts & fake field goals (receivers can be tackled before the ball gets to them)?

    Actually, you can get PI on such plays.  It depends what the receivers are doing.  If the receiver fakes like he's blocking and the DB hits back, refs won't call that because the receiver isn't making any effort to get out into a route.  

    The same can happen in other fake situations.  When executing and RPO or zone read, defenders can, if they get there while the QB is faking like he's a valid runner, light the QB up with hit that become illegal the second the QB clearly indicates that he's a passer or doesn't have the ball.  

    RB's who are faked to by play action can be tackled within a second or two after they were faked too with no PI call.
