What is the best fish food to buy?

    I read you can make fish food out of a few ingredients and gelatin

    Just buy the generic thing. They are all about the same, unless you have Bettas or some sort of Specialty fish.

      Plese look at the first 5 ingrediants of the food. grains and meal and wheat and other fillers should not dominate the first 5 ingrediants, even food  sold for carnivours like bettas are often loaded with grains and filers, read  ingrediants!  look for hole fish names, spirlina, krill, exc...

    No one food is the best. Most fish food manufactures have some high quality blends. 

    Ocean Nutrition, Hikari, NorthFin , and some Tetra blends are all good fish foods. 

    In our own home aquariums Hikari paired with frozen foods were always my favorite. For Herbivore the NorthFin veggie a is good staple. 

    In our store to feed something decent and still cost efficient we mostly fed tetra blends.
