Have your tried removing the batteries and reinserting them?  Sometime this helps.

The error you state references either internal or a removable memory card.  If you're using a removable memory card, simply replace it with a new one.  Cards fail, I was at WalMart today buying a replacement SD card.  They're cheap, too.

Casio cameras are on the, shall we say, the "very affordable" side of things.  Your camera could be as old as 18 years from 2002 - Don't know as Casio made many Exilim models.  So basically, what I'm saying is that if replacing the card doesn't fix the problem, then you need to send your Casio to the e-waste recycling center and give it a good burial.

Bring the card with you so you buy the same type, which probably SD.  There are several different types of SD cards, some may not be compatible with your specific Exilim model.  Read the owners manual to find out for sure.  You can download it for free of the web by simply searching for "Casio Exilim <your model number here> owners manual."  The manual will tell the two important things you must know: The exact type(s) or card(s) that it can use, and the maximum capacity.  Using a card that has a larger capacity than the camera can handle won't work.
