they say the virus may not see a cure till 5 to 8 more years and some say they may never have a cure?

We're not looking for a "cure". The common cold doesn't have a cure. Ordinary flus can be treated so they may be less severe and last a shorter time (there's some uncertainty about that), but they aren't "cured".
We're looking for a vaccine, so people can be prevented from getting it.

There is never really any "cure" for any kind of virus, because a virus can mutate every year. What might "cure" this year's virus will likely have no effect on next year's mutated virus. All you can do about a virus is treat the symptoms, and wait for the virus to clear itself from your system.

This is what you get for listening to the absolute nonsense that the press is pushing! Friend there is already a viable 100% working cure for the coronavirus. when a person gets sick from an illness and recovers you can take their white blood plasma and you can spend the antibodies out of the white blood plasma and you can give it to a person that has the disease to help them to fight off the disease. There's thousands of people that have recovered from the coronavirus. I don't know how many people are commercially making the white blood cell immunoglobulin but i know it's a fairly easy matter to do you can even take whole red blood from somebody that has completely recovered from the coronavirus and transfuse it by blood type to somebody that sick to help them get rid of the virus it's also useful as a vaccine in that exact same form this goes for any virus.

Nothing to do with Skin Conditions.
Who are these 'they' you spout about ?

There is all kinds of speculation out there because nobody really knows when we'll find a cure. It could be anywhere between tomorrow and never.

Yep...and some people still believe the Earth is flat.
My point. Don't pay attention to "they" and "some." Look for and pay attention to recognized experts in the fields of epidemiology and virology. See what they are saying and then cite them when you ask questions here.

So? The be-all, end-all isn't a cure. It's a vaccine. Viruses are hardly ever cured. We still don't have a cure for flu or AIDS or measles or mumps or polio. We do have vaccines, though. A vaccine is what it's all about because the beating back of viruses like smallpox and plague to nigh on non-existence is due to vaccines, not cures. So if we find a cure in 5 to 8 years, great! But that's not what's going to put an abrupt end to this pandemic. A vaccine is.
