Can you stay in hotel during lockdown if you need to? ?

I am in a difficult situation in the household I am in at the moment and really need to get out but have nowhere near by I can stay. Is it possible to stay the night or couple of nights in a hotel in this time?

I am in England

As they are closed that might be hard.

Most hotels are shut to new clients at the moment.

Sure if you can afford it

In at least one place in the netherlands (Groningen), a hotel is used for the homeless, as the 1.5 meter distance cannot be maintained in the usual shelterhouse
