NYU Legacy Financial Assistance?

My dad went to Polytech which later became NYU engineering, so if I apply as a legacy to NYU, would I get any financial discount due to the fact that I am a legacy?

I have never heard of a legacy discount at any school, including NYU.  NYU's scholarship fund is primarily directed toward students who have financial need; they offer little in the way of merit scholarships even.

No. There is no automatic "discount" for being a legacy at any university.  Universities that already have more than enough applicants don't generally offer aid or discounts simply because an applicant is a legacy.  It is more likely you will or will not qualify for a merit-based scholarship or need-based financial aid.

    No "discount."

I don't know specifically about NYU but...

Legacy applicants at most universities do not get discounts.  They may get preferential treatment in being considered for admission (depends upon the university), and may get a slight preference for financial assistance (such as partial scholarships for the children of graduates), but that's about it.
