Do realtors generally ask for tips?

My realtor has been asking me for tips after she shows me various properties that I am interested in buying. She says it is a hard time and they need the help for fuel and time. She has asked me to pay her 40 per showing.

Troll. You just posted another question and called the $40 a covid19 fee.

No. You need a different realtor. This one is unethical and should be reported.

As a retired real estate broker I can assure you it is illegal for them to do that.

No, and they shouldn't be.  Report her to the state realty board.  It is very unethical of her to request any money from you.  She gets paid when she sells a house, and she will get plenty because those rates are very high.  I'd also be inclined to tear up the contract, if you signed one.

During normal times, they don’t get a tip. They get a commission when they sell the home.

Gas has gone down during the pandemic and there’s no traffic jam so she should get more miles per gallon.

Time. That’s a bunch of bull. It’s her job to show you around.
