How much water should I let me Basset Hound puppy drink per day?
I’ve been very careful as to not give me Basset Hound puppy too much water and have limited the amount he gets to 3 deciliters per day. Is this enough, too much or can I afford to give him another deciliter?

Trolls are forbidden access to clean water.
Now be off with you back under your little sewer bridge !
You well know, that you shouldnt be out in daylight.
The kids will throw rocks at you again you fool.

I don't think you can afford the dog, let alone the water.

That sounds like too little to me. The main thing you really need to focus on is getting him to understand where you expect him to pee. This means taking him out right after you give him any water. I found some further info on the subject at the link below.

Another animal cruelty post. That is not enough water for a gnat, let alone a dog.

A general rule of thumb for how much water a dog should drink is 1 ounce of fluids per pound of body weight. So a 10-pound dog should drink roughly 10 fluid ounces per day; a 100-pound dog should drink roughly 100 fluid ounces.
