Why wasn't the USSR charged with war crimes after World War 2?

There was no authority that could charge the USSR with such crimes. Many international institutions were only in their infancy, and due to the Soviet victory in the Second World War, these institutions wouldn't have any ability to enforce any rulings against the Soviet Union.

Because the allies won the war so they did not punish their own.

As these people have clearly stated, you don't charge your own side with a crime.

The Soviets murdered millions of their own people (which is a crime no matter which side you're on) and since they invaded Poland just weeks after Germany (without war being declared on them), the facts are obvious: Germany was targeted by the Allies - pushed into the war.

Post-war indoctrination has led to "educating" the world to believe that the Allies were in the right when clearly they weren't. To push this agenda, they have "taught" that Hitler and everything German was evil - suppositions based on confirmation bias which basically means that if the Allies were the good guys, the only possible conclusion is that the Germans had to be the bad guys.

The problem with this reasoning is that all kinds of documentation exist showing the Allies did, in fact, commit war crimes. This throws serious doubt on their credibility which, in turn throws serious doubt on their claims against Germany.

To absolve themselves, they use words like "justify" and promote as much hate propaganda against Germany as they can. The world buys into it because the facts have been sanitized by the "winners" as a distraction from looking for the truth.

The facts need to be opened to examine from both perspectives. But it's difficult to do when the "winning side" censors what they don't want people to learn. This in itself is cause for suspicion.

Victors don't get charged with War Crimes.

That is why it is so important to win.

The USA has threatened to arrest any ICC judges who investigate its own war crimes.

They were on the winning team.  That doesn't mean that they didn't commit any war crimes, it means that there was nobody willing or able to press the charges.
