The Bible says that "God spoke everything into existence". Does that make any sense?

It sure does if you believe in magic.  A magical immortal anthropomorphic being used an incantation spell to speak everything into existence.  Sure..... by definition magic, the supernatural and deities cannot exist.  Just because some ancient superstitious book says something happened, does, in no way mean that it actually did.  And just because you happen to believe it with all your might doesn't mean that it happened either.  Actually demonstrate the truth of that statement and THEN we can have a conversation about it.  Otherwise it is merely just another wild claim with no supporting proof and evidence and it can be dismissed as such.

Some people are uncomfortable with uncertainty.  So if there's something that is not explained, they say that "some guy did it", because in their limited imagination everything that gets done gets done because some guy did it.  And if the "guy" of your imagination is basically a bronze-age Middle Eastern tyrant, things get done when He speaks.

God is a belief system. When a believer in God thinks that he spoke everything, it might be true. God had indeed created the beautiful universe because everything cannot be explained scientifically.

Whatever God says, happens. Words are a means of communication, and God gave humans (who He made in His image and likeness) the ability to hear, understand, and respond to the words He spoke to them, once they were created by Him. You do realize that no insect, fish, bird or animal can communicate in an instant with its peers, all over the world, by means of language? Yet here we are, speaking to each other with words, exchanging ideas based on intelligent questions. I believe you exist and that this is not a robot I'm responding to. That makes perfect sense to us, but if such an idea had been stated even 500 years ago, it would not have made any sense.

Words have power. They even have power between us. How much more-so do the very words of God have power! And before any creation started the Word was in the beginning with God, and was God, and this Word made everything that was made. In time, this Word became flesh, as the man, Jesus. Mind-blowing! But because God's Word and God's word are true, we can trust that "God spoke everything into existence" without understanding how that was possible. Read John's first chapter in his gospel. God has communicated with us, via His words, and they are life eternal to those believing them.

"For He spoke, and it came to be; He commanded, and it appeared at His command" (Psalm 33:9)!

only if God was Human....and I know Christians will jump all over this and say he was human through his son Jesus..... but I get what Jesus was preaching, he was dealing with the same thing 2,000 years ago that we are dealing with today, People choose to believe what fits their perception...Jesus ultimately says your eyes can not perceive what it isn't willing to look upon and the same goes for your hearing....God isn't a language....God is Light! light is a waveform....yes sound is a waveform but 1 John does say God is Light and Jesus backs that statement up, and he also takes it much further in interpretation on how he knows it through the Holy Spirit Luke 17:21, The Kingdom of God comes not by Observation, for behold, The Kingdom of God is within you.

Essentially what Jesus was teaching was, anything born into this world is born Dead although it appears to live, he makes the case that we are not a body because we are eternal and forever, death is something else fabricated by a fearful mind that refuses to look upon truth.....and if you have read a Course in Miracles, that is the foundation of its teaching made very simple: What is real, can not harm you, what is unreal, does not exist, herein lies the peace of God.....   and when you read Jesus quotes in the Gospels, you can see that message popping out at you pretty easy..... Words are created by man...God communication is unspoken because it doesn't require a body to interpret what it can't understand to begin with.

It does if you're prone to believe in supernatural super-beings who create universes on a whim in their spare time.

It makes perfect sense, since God is all-powerful, and there is nothing He cannot do because of lack of power. On the other hand, "There was nothing, and the universe popped into existence without a pre-existing cause" is ridiculous, butoth theologically and scientifically.
