If cavemen and women did not extist at the same time as dinosaurs ?

Why are their so many movies and TV shows with them living in the same time period.  Very confusing.  I use to think as a child cavemen and dinosaurs and cavemen lived at the same time or same time period. Google search stated differently.

It makes a far more exciting script if you combine some human eating Dinosaurs and some tiny little humans!  These films are for entertainment not factual Documentaries.

There are movies suggesting cave men and dinosaurs lived at the same time because that's how the script was written. But that's not how it really went down at all.

We do still live with modern day dinosaurs, however -- birds. If you look at a great egret or a great blue heron you will see what i mean.

Dinosaurs were wiped out 65 million years ago when a giant meteor the size of Mt. Everest struck the earth at high speed, near the Yucatan Peninsula. The impact was the equivalent of 1 billion atomic bombs exploding at the same time. The temperature on the ground was several hundred degrees, and all the land animals, not just dinosaurs were wiped out. We are lucky because our ancestors were shrew-like mammals that lived mostly underground. Since heat rises, temperature underground was low enough for our ancestors to survive. After the dinosaurs were wiped out, the shrews came out of the underground and inherited the earth. They evolved into all the large mammals we see today, including cows, dogs, deer, elephants, whales and of course humans.

Movie makers are not scientists. They make moves to entertain. They make movies about ghosts, space aliens and space travel, even though we have not gone farther in space than the moon and there is no evidence that ghosts and space aliens exist. The earliest known modern humans evolved 200,000 years ago. Our ancestor, Homo erectus, archaic humans, first evolved 1.8 million years ago.

    D. W. Griffith's Brute Force, a silent film released in 1914, represents one of the earliest portrayals of cavemen and dinosaurs together, with its depiction of a Ceratosaurus. The film reinforced the incorrect notion that non-avian dinosaurs co-existed with prehistoric man.

You weren't there so use the imagination to think about it as an answer than a question.
