How long will be the shadow of a tree that is 9.642-meters tall when the angle of elevation of the sun is 40 °? Give answer to 3 decimals?

      How long will the shadow of a tree be that is 9.642-meters tall 

      when the angle of elevation of the sun is 40°

      The height of the tree is h = 9.642 meters

      The length of the shadow of the tree is  s

      and angle of elevation of the sun is θ = 40°. 

      Then, tan θ = 9.642/s

       s = 9.642/tan 40° = 11.491 ( 3 d p ) meters. 

       The length of the shadow is 11.491 ( 2 d p )

    xtan(40) = 9.42

    x = 9.42/tan(40)

    x = 11.226 m answer//
