Disney World Beaches?
If you are staying at a Dianey Word Resort can you actually visit the different beaches there like actually stand on the sand?

The different "beaches" at the resorts are open to any guests. All of the public areas of all of the hotels are open to any guests. So you can hang out on the sand at any of the resorts that have it.
Real beaches are over an hour away from Disney.

Yes you can - IIRC, there are only 6 resort beaches. The monorail line resorts (Polynesian, Contemporary and Grand Floridian), Fort Wilderness Resort Campground, Caribbean Beach and Beach & Yacht Club Resorts
Just can't go in the water

Guests used to be able to do that, but after a child was attacked by an alligator, they've all been fenced off. They aren't real beaches, of course.
The closest you can get to a beach near WDW are those at their water parks, which are alligator-free. But there's no sand.
The nearest real beaches aren't very far away, though. One or two hours' drive away there are lots of lovely real beaches on the coasts.

Orlando is not on the ocean. To get to the ocean you have to drive to the coast.
