A family: 1 father, 1 mother, 1 brother and 1 sister. The father and the mother both weight 100 kg each and the sibling's weight both 50 kg each. that makes the total weight of 300 kg. now they are in a land and they want to cross to another land and there is a river that needs to be crossed and the only way to cross that river is by the boat. But the problem is that boat only can hold up to 100 kg. What can they do in order for all of them to be on the other land?

first trip by both 50 kg, one crosses to other end & one 50 kg returned back and hold on the initial side.
second trip one 100 cross the end, 50 kg returned with boat.
third trip both 50 kg again cross the river, one hold on the other bank and one returned to the initial end.
fourth trip second 100 cross the river, 50 kg returned in boat.
fifth trip both 50 kg cross the river.

They attach a rope to the boat so they can pull it back after unloading its passenger(s).
You didn't say they don't have a rope, so this is a perfectly valid answer.
