Is there any such thing as a friendly spider?

    I wouldn't say so.. all spiders are defensive, but not all of them will bite you. There are some more harmless ones who do less damage and won't attempt to "fight" you.

    Harmless spiders, certainly.  But not friendly.

    They are arthropods, not much for a brain, but certainly more friend than enemy.

    Some of those cute jumping spiders are curious enough they may just crawl onto your hand.

    No, by definition alone there cannot be. Spiders are not humans; therefore, they do not formal sentimental attachments like humans do.

    Friendly? No, not really. They really don't want to snuggle with you. The best you can hope for is indifference.

    Tarantulas are pretty docile. They are known to crawl gently on their owner's hands.
