Too late for logs to be milled?
Had trees brought down last year where my house is going to sit and stacked in a pile at the end of my property. I wanted to get a local guy to come thru with his portable sawmill and get some boards out of the logs but I didn’t have anywhere level to sticker the boards or to keep them out of the direct elements.
Is it too late to get it cut into boards to use as flooring in my new home? It will be a few months before flooring is put in and if I can use the wood from my property I’d love to. Majority of logs are white oak
Would I be able to cut them and then haul them to a dry kiln nearby and fore go the stickering process on my own?
