Do people still use telephones?

Are telephones even a thing and word now?

    in 40 years, my land line has been down for 4 hours.

    I still use a Flip Phone for a cell phone. That could become more of a challenge in the not so distant future though!

    Yes telephone is still out there and cell phones are still a telephone but i think you ment House phones May of people are still using them

    Yes, I still use telephones. They are clearer than mobiles and better designed to sit in my hand. Where I live (2Km from the centre of a city in the UK, about 30 miles from London) the mobile signal is far too inconsistent to rely on. Mobiles have many significant advantages over fixed line telephony but telephones remain more reliable and, in fixed locations, more convenient.
