Why is there an excess on beans in the supermarkets?

Update:

You're all wrong. This was a riddle..hence, in the subcategory of "Books & Authors"?

It's because there is not toilet paper in any stores, ANYWHERE!!

Why would anyone want beans now???

Where do you live? There are almost no beans especially dried ones in any supermarket near me. Dried beans are almost as hard to find as toilet paper

Methane. A recent study has revealed that CV shows an adverse reaction to high methane levels so the government is trying to get people to eat more beans.

Because the bosses have seen sense, limited things to stop the panic buying morons, only two tins of beans per customer. They've taken on extra security to enforce it.
