Can I sleep on my stitches?

I got stitches on my upper thigh and I’m wondering if I can sleep on that side? After I woke up there was quite a bit of blood on the bandage but not enough to bleed through or anything.

But I just want to make sure I’m not gonna mess it up :(

None of us can see your stitches to have any idea what they are, how serious they are, how many, how large, etc.  So anything we say would be a total guess and worthless information.

Call your doctor's office and ask them this question.  They will be able to give you an answer.

NO, the weight of your body is pressing on the wound bringing blood flow to that area.

Unless you were given instructions otherwise, it doesn't matter.

If you were told to keep it elevated on a pillow etc then follow those instructions.

No, you must stay awake for a few days.

I think you've already messed it up. And no it's not a good idea to sleep on your stitches this is why.

If I already messed it up it would have been bleeding much more. 😅
