What if a scammer asks you to get a credit card for them?

    Giving a scammer anything is a bad idea.

    Tell them yes, you will get them a secured card with a $500 credit limit.  Get their name, address, employer, salary and SSN.  Have them mail you a check for $500.  Cash it, once the check clears block and ignore them.

    Shake my head then leave. I'm lucky enough to know what a scam is and know not go follow through with it.

    Ask for a large upfront payment. Then cancel the card.
