Is 2% ketoconazole not working?

I have 2% ketoconazole both shampoo and cream for my intertrigo on my scrotum and penis shaft.

while it has caused the pain to subside, the skin is still pink red, shiny slick red patches.

I have been using both for months, and still it flares every now and then but the pain has gotten better than it once was.

the skin is still in bad shape,

any suggestions?

Update:

the skin has red places on shaft that is like balantis, it is shiny red slick areas, and just plain slick skin that is smooth and shiny, and then pinkish red areas.

The 2 other dermatologist I had been to said it was eczema, this current one I went to who was from a different dermatology outfit outruled it was intertrigo.

Ketoconazole works slowly. Why ask here when you could ask your dermatologist?
