How to clean some light battery corrosion from a mag flashlight?

    I suggest WD-40

    Use a swap moistened with vinegar to dissolve the corrosion. Wipe it up with a dry paper towel. Wipe a little WD40 on the contact.

    Baking soda will neutralize the acid and you can brush it and then rinse it out.

    I would use a brass wire brush on inside of compartment. Be careful not to damage the contacts. Install new batteries when done.

     

    Depending on use it may not even be worth it. You can buy a rechargeable light for the cost of several good battery sets.

    Rubbing alcohol on a Q-tip

      Rubbing alcohol is flammable an a battery could 
      short out. It’s a small chance but still use caution.
