    what different race?

there is not any science proving that the world is racial!

but science does prove that humanity is tribal, making all things common, with no exclusivity!!!

African Americans are culturally appropriating Vikings and the Picts in wearing braids.  Dreadlocks too.

Nah. scientifically/genetically, all humans are one and the same race.

Real cultural appropriation is when you claim an ethnicity without even speaking its language, or when americans claim coleslaw and apple-pie as american inventions

I'm not sure you can call 'braids' a part of culture, as there are many other cultures who incorporate Braids. Native American tribes wore braids, Japanese Samurai wore braids and in some areas of the Eastern Europe people also wore braids. I'm probably missing some other ones, too.

As for appropriation, it's a bit of a muddy water, but sort of adopting some part of a culture AS YOUR OWN is where the problem lies.  Some people are very protective of their cultures and heritage, but others see it as a form of flattery.  I remember when Hawaii joined the US, everyone took on part of their culture - Tiki Bars, Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts, every one enjoyed bringing part of the Hawaiian culture into their own lives. Not to insult, but to enjoy and proliferate.  Japanese culture came about when people began visiting Japan in the 50s and 60s.  Fashion and artwork all enjoyed and mixed in with the other things we all enjoyed.

Personally, I think this whole 'cultural appropriation' thing is a bid to hold onto something with which people identify, which they consider part of themselves and don't wish to see others "exploit."

Pretty much all cultures have included braids for some people. Cultural appropriation is the current 'politically correct' BS being spouted.
