He is just an empty suit with the mentality of an egg plant now. ------Here  ,  "mentality of an egg plant " means  ?  Thank  you.  ?

    Well, technically, the word "mentality" is not being used correctly, since mentality refers to a condition of a mind--any mind--and eggplants don't have minds. It probably ought to read "...the intelligence of an eggplant..." instead, which would be NONE. But some people use the word mentality to refer to intelligence.

    Go to the grocery store, fresh fruits and vegetables section, and ask to be introduced to an eggplant, and you will have your answer.
