I don't believe that number at all. I seriously doubt your wiper motor would last 1,000,000 wipes.

My last ones only lasted 975 000.

I’m going to demand a refund.

    No, wipes with only one.

No they don't, so I'm not disappointed at all.

Wiper blades are a disposable part, and everyone knows that.  Except you, of course.  They're not designed or built to last longer than a few months.

I believe 'anon' is talking about the windshield wiper motor, pivots & mechanism , and not the blade, arm or refill. The figure I've seen several times is 1.5 m.

Bet you're just as disappointed that toilet paper can only be used for one wipe too!

I do not know about those figures.   I am going to have to start counting.

At one wipe per second, that's almost 300 hours.  I can live with that.

The thing is, I've had cheap windshield wipers that barely lasted one season, and better wipers that lasted 3-4 seasons.  So 'average' must be somewhere between those two.  And really good wiper blades would go twice that long!

I am surprised it is that long. It would take me about 20 days, 6 hours and 40 minutes to count that far. So now the idea of replacing wiper blades every six months makes sense.

That seems generous. I think mine wore out a lot faster.
