physics help please and thank you?

Vector V1 is 6.6 units long and points along the negative x axis. Vector V2 is 8.2 units long and points at 60 degrees to the positive x axis.

Determine the magnitude of the sum

V1+V2

    Vx = 8.2cos60 - 6.6 = -2.5

    Vy = 8.2sin60 = 7.1

    magnitude V = sqrt(2.5^2 + 7.1^2) = 7.5

    direction = inv tan(7.1/-2.5) = 71 degrees above -x axis

    or 109 degrees counter clockwise from +x
