Social distancing requirements violated by essential businesses. What can be done for that?

When you go to cashier who rings your stuff there is no 6 feet distance.

In fact many cashiers have tested to be positive for Corona -- target, Walmart, Costco, gas stations and others

Many places do not even have self checkouts.

These infected cashiers could be passing the virus to shoppers.

Cleaning floors or counters doesn't do a thing when the distance between you and cashier at checkout is so little

Rock -- Corona can spread if you just stand close to someone infected even if they do not cough or sneeze. Just breathing is enough to transmit. It's very contagious

Many infected cashiers?  Getting kind of paranoid, aren't you?

Grocery stores in my area have begun putting a clear plastic "shield" between the cashier and the customer at the check-out stand. The shield isn't there to protect the customer; it's there to protect the cashier.

The grocery also has 6-foot distances marked off on the floor between customers who are waiting in line to check out. They've also got 6-foot distances marked off in every aisle in the store. Customers don't pay much attention to the 6-foot markings though.

Unfortunately this is the new reality because between 40-70% of the population will catch the virus.

Order from home if that makes you feel better.

WHO - World Health Organization only recommends a 1meter distance.

The CDC (US Federal Health Agency) does not list a distance.

But we are "told" 6ft = presumably because we are Americans and we don't want to follow rules.  If we were told 3ft noting would change.  If we are told 6ft, hopefully most of us are abiding by the 1meter.

Per Dr Fauci, the reproductive rate of covid-19 in the US is at 2.2.  This means every person who acquires it will infect 2.2 people.  Depending on the specific flu for each season, it can be close to this reproductive number.

If you are standing in line at the grocery store next to someone who has covid-19, you "can" acquire it from their breathing but that is less likely than through a sneeze or cough.

They just have to not touch their faces until their breaks, and wash hands first. It's not as bad as many people claim.
