Why do airlines or airports in the United States of America have a 42000 mah limit ?
I have a charge tech device which is 54000 mAh. I don't want to carry or bring with me a smaller AC power device. I know I cannot bring it onto the plane. I am wondering will they allow me to bring it but if I put it in cargo storage.

They are regarded as a fire hazard, so absolutely MUST NOT be placed in the hold.
The 42000mAH limit is there to limit the total amount of potentially combustible material in your cabin baggage and was chosen as it is far more than enough for almost all users.
There’s no legal way to take your power bank with you. Buy a lower capacity model instead.

Power banks/external chargers can only be taken in your carry-on bag and are not allowed in your checked bag.
