Is candied fruit for baking harmful to wild birds?

Unprocessed natural foods like seeds, corn, nuts, fruit and berries are best.

That might not be the best idea. My mom used to make a snack for them of leftover bread crusts, butter and jelly Mostly the bread, not too much topping. They loved it.

birds would not be harmed by it but I bet the squirrels, chipmunks and other critters will get to it first.

Too chewy for birds and the added sugar could be harmful. Just use the normal seeds and nuts.

Yes it can choke their small gullets and it won't break down in their stomachs.
