Is there a difference between a traditional society and a capitalist society?

How "traditional" do you want to get. Colonialism with slavery? Monarchy's? A feudal society? Tribal life?

Traditional and Capitalist have 2 different meanings. Traditional refers to the past while Capitalist refers to an economic system. So it depends on the society that you are talking about. A society that has historically (within 200 years) been Capitalist would also be considered to be the traditional economic system--USA. A society that has changed it's economic system could not be considered a traditional economic system--China.
