Why does the Bible portray Jesus so Liberal and God so Conservative?
In the Bible Jesus feeds the hungry (Liberal welfare), heals the sick (Liberal social medicine), and forgives the sinner (Liberal compassion).
On the other hand, God made everyone pay for their own sins before Jesus came along. Paying your own way is a prime Conservative mantra. And the Old Testament was all about Law and Order which also aligns with Conservative ideology.
Why is there such a difference in the political leanings of these Divine beings?

Jesus and the Father are one.
You also have a false premise here, regarding people "paying for their own sins." No, under the law, the sacrifice and blood of animals "covered" those sins, temporarily.
You have no more understanding of the nature of God than you do politics.

Old Testament was wartime and almost totally lacking in divine grace. Jesus made the peace and delivered the "goods" - which was always the intention, from the beginning. (Thank God!)Source(s): www.askmeaboutgod.org

The Bible definitely does NOT portray Jesus as a Liberal, but if anything, a conservative capitalist.
If Jesus was a Liberal, when he fed the 5000, instead of the bread and fish coming from him, he would have forced others under penalty of law to contribute money to pay for the feeding. The same goes with healing people.
In stark contrast, when Jesus taught in parables, he used conservative capitalist illustrations such as investing one's own money to make more money, personal property ownership, and owner control of employee wages. He never advocated relying on the government to do what individuals should do themselves (like helping the poor, visiting prisoners and preaching the gospel).
BTW, Jesus was/is God (Jn 1:1,14).

Sons of God have always ruled as Lord: NONE of them are GOD the Creator Father. Lords ruled in old testament; The CHRIST(not Jesus) IS LORD IN THE NEW TESTAMENT.
1. In the old testament - God said "let us make man in our image" (teach man to think like us).
2. In the new testament - God said "this is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased".
3. Later God said, "this is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased, HEAR ye Him".
Otherwise, GOD the CREATOR FATHER has been relatively quiet, allowing his sons to take their best shot at managing the world.

God gave manna from heaven and also meat from quail. Jesus did not heal everyone but the price had to be paid--faith. You are not looking to give your faith to God but rather to Caesar. What did Jesus say about that?

Nah, God's pretty liberal too. God wants everyone to be vegan and wants to free slaves and write off debt, plus God instituted holidays.

The poor will always be with us...me you have for a short time. Liberal social medicine is working well in Italy and Spain right now. In the US there are food banks everywhere. One thing you can be assured of: As evidenced by NY, LA, and SF...liberals have almost zero compassion. They only think about themselves.

Our politics doesn't work in any meaningful way when we try to project it onto supernatural beings such as God and Jesus, or Buddha, and others.

Jesus wasnt liberal .. He helped people like that with the added idea that you need to cut out your liberalism because thats why your fcked up to begin with and He'll forgive you for that.. He was a compassionate ultra conservative ..
