a = Δv / Δt = -66.0m/s / 11.0s = -6.00 m/s²

Trick question ? The car is traveling at a speed of one mile @ second . That's it's speed . To come to a complete STOP in 11 seconds , it would have to DE-ccelerate at 1 mile @ second .

acceleration = change in speed / time

-6 m/sec^2
