I weigh 160 lbs. From a health viewpoint, How much water should I drink per day?

The recommended amount of fluid daily for women is "About 11.5 cups (2.7 liters) of fluids a day for women" (that includes fluid/water consumed with all foods and beverages). If you are very active and/or sweat a lot, you'll need to consume more to replace what is lost.

How much water each one of us needs depends on a range of factors, such as weight, exercise activity, basal metabolic rate, environment we live in etc.
Drink adequate amount of water. You can judge this by your thirst and your urine colour. If you have a dry mouth, headache, feeling dizzy and your urine appears to be quite dark, you probably are not having enough water.
If you have any concurrent medical condition that requires you to be on a fluid restriction diet talk to your doctor about how much water is good for you.
Talk to your doctor or a health professional if you have any concerns or questions.
