The length of a rectangle is 4 in longer than its width.

If the perimeter of the rectangle is 32 in,

its area equals 60 in^2.

Where is the triangle? The length of the rectangle is 10 in and its width is 6 in.

The area of the rectangle is 10*6 = 60 square in.

You wrote "triangle" in your headline...pay attention!!

Let's say the rectangle has a width W.

Then its length is W + 4, and we know that

2(W + W + 4) = 32,

so eventually you get W = 6, L = 10.

The area of the rectangle is (6 in) x (10 in) = 60 sq. in.
