Import tax and duty tax?

If I was to order a laptop from China (£270)via aliexpress would I have to pay import tax or duty tax and how much would it be

    You would pay a total based on 3.5% duty of the cost of the good plus the shipping cost, plus 20% VAT on the total of the good plus shipping plus duty price.

    So, if your laptop with shipping cost 270 Pounds, then 3.5% duty would be 9.45, so a total of 279.45 times 20% VAT would be 55.89 in VAT.

    So, a total of 65.34 Pounds in duty and VAT on top of the 270 laptop cost.
