Is it bad to read the Bible too much?

No, it's not bad..The Bible does not state specifically how often we ought to read it. However, it does record Jehovah’s counsel to Joshua to ‘read in the book of the law in an undertone day and night’ so that he would act wisely and have success in carrying out his God-given assignment.

It depends how you read it. If you look at the kind of things posted on the evilbible website, for example, those people are not reading it in a manner which leads to spiritual progress and their minds are closed. The more they read it in that way, the more it pushes them away from God. But if you read the Bible too much in any way, if it interferes with your activity in healing the world it is a problem. For instance, if you were called to be a doctor and you neglected your studies because of reading the Bible, that would be a bad thing.

What a ridiculous question. It is a joy to read the bible. Happiness you can never know except through God's word.

10 "And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because (((IT IS GIVEN UNTO YOU TO KNOW THE MYSTERIES OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN, BUT TO THEM IT IS NOT GIVEN.)))
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them" (Matthew 13:10-15).

It's really important to read the Bible everyday, but it is just as important to understand what you are reading.
It takes time and effort to read the Bible. So, you have to learn to be balanced.
It's not about quantity, it's about the quality amount of time you spend when you're reading the Bible.

It is if you don't know what parts to read:
Jesus instructed His Apostles to teach only what He Himself taught for 3.5 years while on earth: The Gospels of Mark(except 16:9-20) and Matthew. Genesis is good background.

You can't get enough of God's word. The Lord puts a hunger and thirst in us for His word when we come to know Him.

It would be impossible to read the Bible too much because we humans cannot physically read anything for too long and in addition, we don't have the time either! It's far more inevitable that we will not study the Bible enough. We are NOT told to read it, but to STUDY to show ourselves approved unto God, a workman who needeth not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth 2 Timothy 2:15)

Well, if you read it every waking hour and neglect your other responsibilities as a result, that isn't good.
