Would It Be Creepy To Add Someone On Facebook Who You Haven't Talked To In Years?

To be totally honest: I'm bored and considering adding a bunch of people who used to live in my residence hall during college on Facebook.

I haven't seen them in almost 2 years. Would this be creepy or friendly?

I want attention.

Wouldn't be creepy to just a drop a quick line to maybe catch up. But if you're expecting them to drop everything to have long, drawn-out conversations with you you may be disappointed.

Why don't you wait to talk to these people until the alumni reunion, like most people do?

What is the creepiest thing about all this, is that you, as an adult, are demanding attention like a bratty 5 year old !

Nothing wrong with adding people like that... In fact Facebook is great for sort of keeping in touch with people you wouldn't have otherwise kept in touch with

By your own admittance you are seeking attention, so reaching out to people from your past could be perceived as making sense your current frame of mind. If you are comfortable with reaching out, then do so.

Before you can add anyone to your "friends" list on Facebook, you have to send that person a "friend request", and that person must accept your "friend request". Only then, can you add them. If they don't accept you request to become "friends", you can't add them

Not really. If you were also good friends with them.

There’s nothing good about looking for attention. It’s ugly.

If you want to keep track on what they are doing, add them.

It's fine.  It's their choice to accept or deny your friend request.
