Which do you like more: Spaghetti or Carbonara?

I like spaghetti more because I grew up eating it and I love tomatoes but I also like carbonara.

Carbonara is one of my favorite foods in the whole world. The best I have had was in the Yucatan, the worst in Florence, Italy. Go figure.

Carbonara is the 'sauce' that you have on pasta, be it spaghetti or any other.

It makes no sense, because they’re both the same thing. It’s called Spaghetti alla carbonara

Spaghetti is pasta. Carbonara is a sauce. Your question makes more sense.

This is like asking what do you like more, roads or automobiles?

Spaghetti is just one of the many types of pasta noodles. Carbonara is just one of the many types of sauces to serve with pasta noodles.

"Spaghetti" is the shape of the pasta not the dish.

Carbonara is the dish not the shape of the pasta.

Spaghetti can be served with many different kinds of sauces.  Red sauce (meat or not) is just 1, Pesto would be another, Carbonara is another.

Carbonara is one of the many ways of preparing pasta, so I don't understand the question. Can you explain what you mean? How has your "carbonara" been prepared without spaghetti? I love spaghetti alla carbonara - it's one of my favourite pasta dishes.
