Native English speakers, could you please help me with these issues?

1. When speaking of something like that in the picture, would it appropriate to use the term 'cake'?

2. And if not, would any oth these optons be appriopriate:

- delicacy

- confection

    They look like a type of cake.  Muffins, I'd say.

    They wouldn't be called 'delicacies' and 'confection' is very formal and is usually used for chocolates, sweets or candies.

    sounds like cake is fine. Usually they call it by a specific name. Like wedding cake, cup cakes or birthday cake.

    They look more like muffins, although cupcakes might do, especially if you put icing on them.  But, they appear to be muffins.
