In all honesty there is no proper way to remove scratches from glasses.

Big scratches ("gouges") you can't. But try something like a non-abrasive car wax (or the similar stuff that is used on glass cooktops) for minor scratches.

There is really no way to remove scratches from eyeglasses. You can try headlight polishing compound that's the compound that they use to polish the white hazy scratches out of headlight lenses and they sell it in the auto parts store. Use one of those soft lint free cloths and make sure you clean your glasses off with dish soap and hot water before you do this or whatever dirt that happens to be on the lens you'll grind it into the lens and scratch it worse.

You can't. You can use some kind of coating similar to Pledge dusting spray. It may cover some small scratches until the lenses are cleaned well. Any attempt to polish them out will create aberrations in the lenses. Sometimes what is seen to be scratches is a failure of the coating. People attempt to peel off the coating. This never works either. Give up!!!
