What causes a red dot on your nipple?

I’m 21 and a female. I’ve had a red dot on my nipple for the past couple of months. What could it be?

It could be just an incomplete mole, or dark spot. Is it a small red dot, then its completely normal. If it grows or something, than check the doctor.

For your information, The nipple is only the small pointy area poking outside. The area surrounding the nipple is called areola. Being a woman you should know this.

And if you are having the red dot on your areola, and its just a small dot, that aint growing or anything, and it doesn't pain when you touch it, Its completely normal.

Red freckle. Lack of melanin in your skin.

If you're concerned, talk to a nurse about it.

Is the dot raised or a depression? Is it filled with anything? Is it growing? Is it leaking/weeping? Are the edges ragged or smooth lined?
