PCOS and pregnancy?

Hello, I just stopped taking combination birth control pill one month ago and have PCOS. I have been taking ovulation tests and finally reached “peak” fertility yesterday. Is there a chance I may be pregnant this month?

Yes, there's a chance, but with PCOS you have unusually high follicular activity as part of the condition, which often means chronically elevated LH. This can result in false positives with ovulation tests.

Since you know you have PCOS, if you are actively TTC then you and your partner should make an appointment with a fertility specialist ASAP. When either partner has a medical condition known to affect fertility, there is no need to waste an entire year on "trying." You can consult with an expert from day one.

If you have been having sex then yes, there is a chance.
