Do police keep records of calls? ?

Are records kept of calls for like domestic disturbance/incident calls ?

    YES... ALSO if you call them they run your number before sending a cop out to see if there are warrants etc. for you..

    YOU call 911 they ask your name etc... they run your name before they ever show up.

    Yes, the police are required to keep records of all calls they get.  That's the law.

    Every time someone calls police or an officer is dispatched, the information is entered in the computer. State law in my area requires those records to be retained for at least 7 years. Due to the storage capacity of our computer, we hold them much longer.

    All calls are recorded and saved, except for two special lines used for internal "business".
