Most people buy houses expecting to sell them at some point...

Why do you imagine this would be illegal?

It certainly is Master G, its called MAKING MONEY. ;-) Word of caution, watch out for the pitfalls there are lots and lots AND LOTS of them. ;-)

of course it is, or do you think that if you bought a house today, you would never be able to sell it again ?

Of course.  Many of us do that.  We plan to grow a family and buy a larger house when needed.  We earn more money with age and experience & when we can afford a larger house, we buy one.  We change jobs and move so that we don't have to commute so far, perhaps, to another state or country.  --- All sorts of reason.  Only when you get to be around 60 or 70, you often decide to buy your last home - your dream home, one you will live out the rest of your life in.

Few people buy a house with the intention that they are going to keep it for the rest of their life.

Some people buy houses with the intention of only keeping it a few months.

Depends on the country. Apparently you don't know that or are too ignorant to care.

nope.  plenty of people buy homes and try to sell it for more money.  you can always list anything for any price you want.  you just need a buyer.  you can't missadvertise or falsely list information, as then you may face ramifications from it.
