This is NEW news of a British boxer who just won a world title;i think that is more important than constantly hearing about(not brexit) Coronavirus. I would rather hear more about storm Denis

What do you expect from the BBC.  They seem to think any royal story should be the main headline

The far-left BBC is for uneducatable lemmings.  They're beginning to resemble the Ministry of Truth in 1984.

Had the David Abel, who had been the BBC's source of video updates on conditions on the cruise ship stuck in Japan before succumbing to the virus, died from the acute pneumonia he has contracted it would have been the main story. That is because he had been very critical of the government's failure to arrange a flight for British nationals at a time when nationals of other countries were being flown home and no British rescue had been planned. But, while coronavirus is an ongoing story, there have been no significant developments involving British nationals apart from the rescue flight from Japan eventually arranged. So the world title boxing match, which has caught the interest of the public because Tyson Fury is a larger-than-life character, took the top slot.

We get updates on the Corona Virus, all the time, but life continues.  We all need to know about Sport, it's very important entertainment.  Don't like Boxing, personally, but it's still a bit of entertainment, watching adults beat each other up, without being put in a Police cell.

A quick look at the BBC website shows it headlining with the Corona virus.

We know about the Coronavirus, but we didn't know the result of the Fury vs Wilder fight so that was the right decision, and that's unusual for the BBC.

Anyway, we should celebrate British supremacy and be proud that Fury won. We have a heavyweight champion of the world, Brexit is done, and the future looks rosey. Only traitors and miserable sods wish to read doom and gloom every day.

No harm in it, by headlining it and broadcasting it they aren't exactly going to spread the virus. You cant catch it that way.

Not a lot but this is because the fight was a one-off event whereas the Coronavirus outbreak is sadly, ongoing.  Posting here because I'm blocked from putting this in the normal place.

Because a boxing match is more important than the Corona virus.
