is it ok to have long hair if you train in jiujitsu, muay thai, and judo if you had to defend yourself from 1 weaponless attacker?

are "sports" based styles ok to easily defend yourself against one attacker in a street fight? im not talking about a deadly voilent attack with multible attackers in a high crime area, but a one on one fight in the street if i have my hair pulled back?

Having long hair is a liability in any kind of fight. And self-defense of any kind regardless of how many attackers is always violent. There is no such thing as a gentle fight. If you and your attacker is trying to not hurt each other, then it is not a fight.

The vast majority of street fighting is striking and grappling.  Very few people engaging in a street fight considering anything logical; they just attack because they've got no experience in doing anything else.  So long hair should be fine, as if you're performing your own moves correctly, they'll never have an opportunity to grab your hair.
